Specialised Movers recognise the importance of continuity in our services and subsequently with our staff. There have been very few changes to our structure and personnel over the last 20 years. We also fully understand that we cannot stand still, and our future will be based on learning and achieving new skills that we can further improve as a relocation company and in turn provide an even better service to our clients.
All removals staff are full-time and directly employed, employees of Specialised Movers – due to our excellent employment conditions we have a very low staff turnover and do not use sub-contractors, agency or casual labour. With our regular clients we can provide familiar faces, and staff who are known to our clients by name. They know and understand our customers’ requirements and also the nature and culture of the working environment. For our new clients, we provide experienced, trained and friendly operatives. Our aim is always to put all our clients at ease during what is a potentially stressful time.
Standard Vetting Procedures
All Specialised Movers’ staff are fully DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) checked due to the nature of our public sector work and work with the Police. Re-checks take place every 2 years. In addition to this, because of our continuing contracts with public sector organisations such as The Home Office, The Inland Revenue, NHS and particular sections of The Police Force, a brief Curriculum Vitae of each Specialised Movers operative is often required.
Specialised Movers’ staff are permanent, fully trained employees, who benefit from continuous professional development within their own area of work, and are experienced and continuously trained in the current HSE manual handling and lifting techniques to maintain our excellent standards.
